| 2009-06-29 03:00 AM WEATHER FORECAST. NATIONWIDE. The morning will be overcast throughout the country, particularly in the western part where occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected. Despite heavy presence of clouds the heat will continue; maximum temperature will be 30-33 Celsius, possible higher in some part of Santiago de Cuba. The temperature will drop to 25-28 at night. The winds will be weak, never exceeding the speed of 25 km/per hour, possible stronger in the highlands. During thunderstorms there will be some unrest of the sea in the South East and Western coast, while on the North the sea will be predominantly calm. |

It will be slighlty cloudy on Mainland and sunny in the rest of the country. As the day approaches afternoon it will turn partially cloudy and cloudy in zones of the interior and South, bringing strong showers and electrical storms from Havana to Holguin that will be scarce in zones of the northern coast.

The weather is hot and sunny all year round. April and May though are especially good. Then you have the most sunny days, low rainfall, low humidity, hot, but not too hot and no hurricanes. In addition, and rather perversely, generally this time, except the Easter week, is “low season”. So, you should see that flights, hotels, package holidays and car rentals are at the lowest rates but with relatively high availability. Please note some Hotels and Car models are popular all year so bookings are advisable as far in advance as possible. |
